23. two blind girls take a driving test
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
hi hello hey to all our listeners, especially those on the road!
Today we’re talking about driving. Believe it or not, some low vision people like us can drive in certain U.S. states and under certain restrictions with a tool called a bioptic. However, deciding to do so is about more than just qualifying, but it’s a personal decision each individual makes regarding their own vision. In this episode, we share vulnerably why we don’t drive and some of the struggles that go with that decision.
While this may be difficult to understand, we hope that our feelings give you more insight into our experiences. We also share a lot of funny moments, like any episode, and even try a driver’s test at the end which is worth a good laugh if you’re a seasoned driver.
As always, we hope you enjoy and please send us any thoughts or comments to hello@rarewithflair.com! Don’t forget to leave us a review on Apple since we’re trying to get to 100 to hear Casey’s (incredible) “dog voice!”
